Our Blog

There are still a lot of people who are not aware about this much-needed service. This is quite a shame because a lot of people can benefit from it. A lot of people don’t even know what it is, but really, you can get a pretty good idea just from the term itself – corrective color.

Simply put, this is correcting or repairing a botched color service. Basically, we’ll fix whatever damages that were done by another salon when they tried to color your hair. Unfortunately, there are a lot of unskilled stylists in this industry and a lot of salons employ them. With these salons pushing for every service that they can think of even if their stylists are not well-trained on it, botched services are inevitable.

While we’re happy that we’re getting a lot of new clients because of the botched jobs of other salons, we feel for these customers. All they’ve wanted is to have a new look and they end up with a nightmare. Of course, that salon will offer to make things right, but really; do you think it’s a good idea to have them work on your hair again after botching it the first time? If this happened to you, allow us to do the corrective color process.

Why It’s Needed

Do you really want to walk around with a bad hair color job? Sure, it might be something that’s not too bad, like having ash grey blonde hair when you wanted cool brown blonde. Unfortunately, this is usually not the case. In most cases, it’s something really bad like a stylist leaving the chemicals for too long and now you’re freaking out because strands are falling out. Your hair has been damaged and you need to do something about it.

DIY Disaster?

In an effort to save some money, a lot of people try to color their hair on their own. Now, we’re not saying that this is a bad idea because there are a lot of good products out there that you can use at home. But the thing is you’re not trained to do it so things can go wrong.

What Needs to be Done

Obviously, this is on a case to case basis. It can be something as simple as making the tone of your hair right or it can be something as complicated as reversing the damage brought upon by the chemicals being left for too long. This is why we can’t really tell you how much corrective color is. We need to take a look at your hair and do two things:

  • Determine the extent of the damage.
  • Correct the damage.

You need to set up an appointment ASAP. You need to have the damage reversed as soon as you can. You don’t know if the damage is getting worse and it might get harder to correct as more time passes.

Setting Expectations

Now, we’re not offering miracle 5 minute treatments. Depending on the extent of the damage, it may take several corrective treatments before your hair goes back to its normal state. You have to know that your hair is weak and stressed due to the damages so we can’t really force the corrective treatment. It’s a step by step process. It can be a slow process, but it’s going to be a surer process this way.

Something Important to Consider

Our stylists will ask you a lot of questions for them to determine what caused the issue. It’s important that you’re very honest and specific. Remember, the corrective color treatment will be determined based on these details.

Hair color gone bad is an emergency. We’re 911.
